Fallen Feathers for Fringe!

Lia Parravicini - Friday, February 24, 2012

Finally i can breathe again!

With the Perth Fringe Festival closing it's curtains for another year, Adelaide Fringe costumes up ready to continue the festivities.

Fallen Feathers was lucky to be amongst all the quirky commotion showcasing creations in both stage spectacles " Mardi Gras Tease" by the highly sort after Sugar Blue Burlesque and soon to hit the stage " Farce of Sodom"

Many long days and late nights were spent working on the beaded, bustled garments and although it was most enjoyable to reach the light at the end of the tunnel i will be delighted to put some distance between myself and boned circular petticoats!

Wishing the cast of " Farce of Sodom" all the best on their up and coming performance.

Behind the red curtain of Fallen Feathers couture emerges Miss Jane, a Sugar Blue Burlesque siren and mistress of the Melbourne Burlesque scene. "From the Flower Bed" a Fallen Feathers creation was the inspiration behind the hula goddess design. The devine dancer showcased the floral wonder at the Luwow, Melbournes cocktail aventure through the south seas! As well as Fallen Feathers "Pretty as a Pin-up" gallery, you can see more of Miss Jane on her fan page!

Sweet as Sugar!

Lia Parravicini - Tuesday, January 17, 2012

While sipping on a very expensive yet delicious juice this fine summer i flipped through the summer edition of Candy Magazine.

It was here i stumbled across, well myself....Fallen Feathers!

There it was, Fallen Feathers in all it's glory with the likes of fashion royalty such as Vivienne Westwood, Auerillo Costarella, Ruth Tarvydas, and Ae'lkemi!

The shoot was perfect for the Fallen Feathers circus girl image with the darling model sitting up high in the sky on the trapeze.

I recalled conversing with the stylist about how to bring her side show idea to life, assisting her with my aerial knowledge through Cirquest.

It was indeed a heart warming experience to see our fashion dreams out into glossy print!

Magazine submission oh my!

Walking works of Art

Lia Parravicini - Wednesday, September 07, 2011

Wonderous creations were brought to life this year at the Perth Town Hall for the debut of the Beaux Arts Ball.

Perths finest creative talents let their minds run wild with the creation of wearable works of art for all to see.

A glorious hommage to the flawless styling from the art deco era.

Fallen Feathers was flattered to have not one but 3 garments included in the festivities.

In the next coming months everyone's glorious creations will be displayed in the Beaux Arts Ball Book.....can't wait!!
